The Book

It’s not that I’m not a conspiracy theorist, it’s just that I didn’t want to get into all that in Dallas. It’s hard enough for me to track things that really happened – I didn’t want to start tracking what some people say really happened. And so I found a book – Dallas 1963 – which ends – literally – when the first shot was fired in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And before that – it paints a picture of an angry caldron of political forces stewing in Dallas. Some making waves on the right – General Edwin A. Walker, H.L. Hunt the Reverand Kriswell and on the left – Stanley Marcus, Reverand Rhett Jones and Civil Rights leader Jaunita Kraft  Dallas 1963 puts the assassination into perspective – which is something I think is sorely needed after all these years of conspiracy theorists jamming up the airwaves every time the topic comes up.
