In Helen of Pasadena:

“Happy hour became a happy three hours. We ditched Patrick at the Huntington and moved our all female lovefest to Mujares Mexican Cantina, because Olympia claimed there was no such thing as too much guacamole.”  Page 220

In Real Life:

First of all – I agree – there is no such thing as too much guacamole. Lian Dolan point’s that out in Helen of Pasadena. However – she’s tricky – that Helen – with what she does with the names of restaurants. She sent her female characters to Mujares Mexican Cantina for a lovefest. So – of course I tried to find that but I could only come up with Mijares Mexican Cantina, with an “I” instead of  a “U.” Maybe it was a typo – so I’m going with Mujares – which seems likely anyway – it’s been in Pasadena forever. And it seems like a great place to enjoy some guacamole and margaritas. I walked in and looked around – I even had my eye out for Candy too – thought she might be skulking for scoop – but I didn’t see her.
